House Projects, Bikes & Other Fun Things

Welp, another summer has gone by. Mostly good, some rough bits, but on the whole a successful, enjoyable time in Spearfish.

Mattie is now 5 and really growing into her own person. She started kindy this fall and she thrives in the schooltime routine setting, and really loves her math workbooks, ha! This summer we went on some hikes, just the two of us and she raised some baby chicks. Her favorite thing to do was put them in the tricycle basket and ride them around.

We got a lot of projects done around the house and even put in a sauna for Evie. The neighborhood kids were over almost everyday and we had lots of bonfires along with lake days and afternoons playing in the creek.

Evie finished 2nd at both Pine Island and the Dakota Five-O. I drove the support car for Pine Island and finished 3rd at the Five-O. The weekly Sturgis races were a blast as usual. The young kids are getting faster, but I was still able to take home the series overall win.

Back in AZ now and back to work. The MBAA enduro races will kick off at the end of September which I help put on and then we’ll be going right into the winter XC race series which I’m also a part of.

Enjoy the pictures.

  1. Sounds like a great summer. I may have to put the 5-0 on my race list for next year. Good luck with AZ racing.
